Helping
people 50 and older make the most of their bonus years:
IAJVS
and 2Young2Retire
IAJVS
has a long tradition of providing vocational services in communities
across the United States and Canada, as well as in Israel
and Argentina. Now it has joined with 2young2retire
Associates to focus on the baby boomer demographic.
Twenty
JVS career counselors have graduated from a six-week training
that certifies them to lead the 2young2retire course in their
communities. The course is based on Too Young to
Retire: 101 Ways to Start the Rest of Your Life (Plume
2004) co-authored by Howard and Marika Stone, co-founders
of 2young2retire Associates. It addresses issues
most urgent to members of a maturing population: money, health,
and how they will put their bonus years to good use.
"We
are very excited to be working with a leading vocational organization
and proud to add these outstanding individuals to our
growing list of 2young2retire Certified Facilitators,"
said Howard Stone, principal and chief trainer, 2young2retire
Associates.
"IAJVS
was looking for a way to expand its services to a new demographic
and provide the kind of guidance they most want. This
partnership has provided an answer, and we are optimistic
it will have an impact in the communities we serve,"
said Genie Cohen, Executive Director, IAJVS.
